1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or buying a product on Produk.io you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Seller accounts
Sellers must provide accurate information and are solely responsible for the digital products they upload, including ownership of intellectual property, licensing, and legality under Malaysian law.
3. Prohibited products
You may not sell pirated files, malware, adult content involving minors, stolen data, or anything that breaches Malaysian law. Every uploaded file is automatically scanned for malware, and we may remove listings or suspend accounts without notice.
4. Buyer purchases
Buyers purchase with a name and email address only. No account is needed. A processing fee of RM1, or 1% of the product price when it exceeds RM100, is added at checkout. The download link is emailed as soon as payment is confirmed by our payment provider. Sellers can resend that link at any time from their dashboard.
5. Refunds
Digital products are delivered instantly, so purchases are non-refundable and change-of-mind refunds are not offered. This does not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded: a buyer may request help or a refund when a file is faulty, materially different from its listing, or cannot be delivered. Requests must be sent to business@produk.io within 7 days with the order email and an explanation. Approved refunds are deducted from the seller's Produk balance.
6. Plans
The Free plan allows up to 3 listings and does not include social media links on your storefront. Produk Pro costs RM49 per month and includes unlimited listings, social media links, buyer reviews on your storefront, a Pro badge, and zero withdrawal fees on payouts. Pro is billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the paid month.
7. Payouts and fees
Sales are credited to your Produk.io balance. You may withdraw once your balance reaches RM10. Produk.io charges a flat 10% withdrawal fee on the amount withdrawn for Free plan sellers; Produk Pro sellers pay no withdrawal fee. Payouts are made to the Malaysian bank account you provide, normally within 1-3 working days.
8. Merchant of record and how your money is held
Produk.io acts as the merchant of record for every sale. That means we contract with the buyer, collect the payment in our own merchant account, and handle the payment processing, chargebacks and receipts. We are not a pass-through payment processor that forwards a buyer's card payment straight into your bank account. Instead, your share of every confirmed sale is credited to your Produk wallet, which you control and withdraw from when you're ready. Holding funds in a wallet lets us settle refunds and chargebacks cleanly, protects buyers, and keeps you out of direct payment-gateway compliance obligations.
9. Why we ask for your tax details
Because we are the merchant of record and we pay money out to you, we are required to know who we are paying. Your IC number, TIN number, legal name, address and IC images are collected to verify your identity (KYC), prevent fraud and money laundering, and to meet Malaysian tax and record-keeping requirements for payouts made to you. We only ask for these details before your first withdrawal, and we do not sell or share them for marketing. Sellers remain responsible for declaring and paying their own income tax on their earnings.
10. Personal data and PDPA
Produk.io processes personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). We collect only what we need: account details, storefront content, buyer name and email for order delivery, and seller KYC details for payouts. Your data is stored on secured infrastructure with encryption in transit, access is limited to staff who need it, and identity documents are kept in private storage that is never publicly accessible. Buyer names and emails are shared with the seller of the product they bought so the seller can provide support and resend downloads. Sellers may not use them for unrelated marketing. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing business@produk.io, and we will respond within a reasonable period. 11. Account suspension
We may suspend or ban an account that breaches these terms, uploads unsafe files, or attempts to defraud buyers or the platform. Pending balances belonging to a suspended account may be held while we investigate, and legitimate funds will be released once the review is complete.
12. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Produk.io online but provide the service on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous three months.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.
